I am an aspiring Data Scientist from New Delhi (India), currently living in Melbourne (Australia), pursuing my master's degree in data science from RMIT University. I've been actively engaged in data science for over three years. Throughout that time, I have actively sought hands-on experience through a couple of internships and a series of personal projects.
A neural network used to recognise faces wearing masks, which can be used in surveillance cameras at airports and some other public places. The model was trained on a dataset containing 7553 face images, both with & without mask. On custom CNN Architecture model, training accuracy reached 94% and validation accuracy of about 96%.
It is a content-based recommendation system whose filtering approach uses a series of discrete characteristics of a movie to recommend similar movies. The core of this project, the recommendation algorithm, is totally based on the description of the movie and a profile of the user's preferences. TMDB (The Movies database) was used for training the model.
** I'm currently working on another recommendation engine which uses collaborative filtering, similar to what Netflix has employed**
A web-app for predicting the winning chances of a team for a cricket match in the Indian Premier League (IPL) using exploratory data analysis. The algorithms used for the data analysis include SVM, Random Forest Classifier, Logistic Regression & k-Nearest neighbours. Experimental results show that Random Forest algorithm outperformed the others with an accuracy of 88.10%.
The goal of this project is to shed light on major patterns in the Olympics history, categorised into four types of analysis - Medal Tally, Overall analysis, Country-wise analysis, Athlete-wise analysis: How many athletes, sports, and nations are there? Where do motahletes come from? What are the characteristics of the athletes? etc. The dataset used, scraped from sports-reference.com, contains 120 years of Olympics history.
I am currently pursuing a Master's degree in Data Science from RMIT University, Melbourne (Australia) as part of my journey towards becoming a proficient and well-rounded data scientist. This program offers an immersive and comprehensive curriculum designed to equip students with advanced skills and knowledge in data analysis, machine learning, statistical modelling, and data visualisation.

My bachelor's at SRM Institute of Science and Technology was driven by a fervent passion for data science, leading me to pursue a major in Computer Science and Engineering. Throughout my academic journey, I consistently upheld a commitment to excellence, culminating in the completion of my bachelor’s degree with a cumulative grade point average of 9.53 out of 10. This achievement places me within the top 5 percentile of my graduating class.
Extracurricular Involvement:
During my undergraduate years, I actively engaged in extracurricular activities that enriched my learning experience. In my first year, I joined the esteemed Computer Society of India (CSI) and rapidly ascended to leadership roles, eventually serving as its head during my second and third years.
Professional Development:
In addition to my academic pursuits, I pursued professional development opportunities to expand my knowledge and skills in the field. Notably, I secured a training and internship opportunity at the Entrepreneurship Cell, IIT Kharagpur, specializing in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. Despite the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, I adapted to a remote internship format and gained valuable insights into artificial neural networks, programming, and statistical analysis for data-driven insights.

Throughout my undergraduate tenure, I actively applied my acquired knowledge in practical settings, developing several projects that showcased my proficiency in machine learning and data analysis. These hands-on experiences not only solidified my understanding of theoretical concepts but also honed my problem-solving abilities.

Driven by a desire to contribute to the academic community, I became a member of 'Towards Data Science', a prominent Medium publication. Through this platform, I shared insights and expertise on AI and data science, garnering positive feedback from peers and enthusiasts alike.

One of the most significant takeaways from my college experience was the development of my leadership and teamwork skills. Balancing assertiveness as a leader with a collaborative approach, I learned to navigate diverse team dynamics effectively, fostering an environment conducive to innovation and success.Overall, my college education not only equipped me with a robust foundation in computer science and engineering but also instilled in me the values of leadership, collaboration, and continuous learning, preparing me for the challenges and opportunities in the dynamic field of data science and technology.
I commenced my academic journey at DAV Public School, Sreshtha Vihar (which falls under the jurisdiction of the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE)), where I achieved notable accomplishments throughout my schooling years. I completed my matriculation (Year 10) in 2017 with a cumulative grade point average of 10.0 and secondary schooling (Year 12) in 2019 with 88.8%.
